I'm just contending that it was a can of worms for Hulbert. If he started putting things into model portfolios that the newsletter writers didn't put in there, where would he draw the line? Well then, if the man cannot figure out the true performance of all of Brinker's recommendations, the solution would be to leave him out of the rankings, since he "cannot figure it out"... Sorry, but a footnote just does not cut it, and looks very unprofessional.
