Sorry for the delay in this response, CR. I just noticed it in my inbox and was out of town for a couple of weeks.

I would sooner own Toyota than almost any company I can think of. The US market is very important to TM so there would be some fallout if the US consumer goes into the toilet. But this would be a buying opportunity. I disagree with the remarks of a previous poster who suggested that Detroit's problems put a cloud over the sector. Detroit's problems are a competitive opportunity for Japan and Korea to gain market share in the American car market, as they have been doing.

I would be a buyer of Toyota at $100, and also a buyer of KF and KEF which give you a reasonable share of Hyundai (and other good companies) at a nice discount to NAV.
