Maybe...read the original story?

You can - but the IMDB comments of people that have read it versus watched it seem to have a consensus that the written version was not much of a story but the filmed version had more "depth" Have you noticed how SIMILAR Pres Bush is to that eugene levy character in the movie - spooky how accurate some of its predictions were. I think of Joe Stocks like Sean Astins character - exposes the truth - but it doesn't seem to make much of a change on the sheeple.

Or is that too much of a stretch, and we need to enforce equality by presenting the imagery, lest some readers imagine it better than others? :-)

HAHA I love your analogy - film - the great equalizer of the masses. The brain is such a visual organ no? Activision used to run ads why their text adventures were better than graphical games.

I once saw a croation beat silly a russian over differing versions of cyrano de bergerac back in college - perhaps if culturally they had both seen the same movie instead of read books assimilated to different cultures that fight would have been prevented? ILD tells me those people all love each other eh so it had to be the dispute in the versions eh?

We have people fighting over different versions of history as it applies to Jesus and friends eh? What if they all watched Ben Hur and had a single point of reference and one God? Average is not always bad eh? Maybe Santa is Asian - I have never seen him - have you? In that Keanu Reaves movie - babes in toyland he had slant eyes.
