opalapril, think I also forgot, but when one goes to FAQ page and thinks of past post the only thing the DSMB does is monitor saftey. Its name says it all. It is a data saftey monitoring board and as XOMA says this board does not release data either to XOMA or to others. While I think I understand this, it also makes me think FDA could not or would not have info on which to terminate this trial early to move to approval. And this later part is something I am not sure I understand.
