No. What I'm betting on is that the Lebanese Army/government has been severely embarrassed because they were impotent to control Hizbullah, even though they recognized that the organization was becoming more and more uncontrollable.

How is the new Iraqi Army doing in Iraq?

But while the Arab terrorist propagandists might be able to claim that the coalition in Iraq was a primarily US/UK occupation of Iraq, it would be MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to make the same claim if Lebanon's government invites the UN in to help them contain the unruly shadow government that Hizbullah has become.

Agreed there, but not sure if that will translate into enough of a factor to make things work. I suspect more than this is needed.

And the French have the Foreign Legion, which is nothing to sniff at given their experience in Africa

Not much recently though.
