Oh dear. You seem to have drawn in all manner of rabble with that post. Despite almost no posting here since he organized his little Church of W almost 2 years ago, LindyBill is still the second most prolific poster here, only outdone by the local Voice of Israel. I think it mostly a good thing that he started his own little place of worship, if he'd waited a few months more, he might have ended up posting all that garbage here.

There were two things from the early days that amused me greatly. From the original thread header:

Do you look on Politics as a sport? Do you like to "Talk Politics" as if you were Carl Rove or Terry McCauliffe? Can you do this with some objectivity?

Yup, the Church of W is where the "objective" crowd hangs out, for sure. That's why there were tens of thousands of posts regurgitating SwiftVets garbage there during election season. Then there was this:

Three strikes you are out! I will warn you once, suspend you for a week the second time, and ban you forever on the third..

Anybody who's had any experience with contrary views over on the Church of W knows that "three strikes" was used very figuratively there. The Pope of the Church of W seems to have grown quite fond of throwing his weight around arbitrarily. In a totally "objective" fashion, of course.

Amusingly, I was on the select pre-banned list with 4 others when the Church of W was founded, not that I ever had any desire to post there, having had long experience here with LindyBill's "objective" viewpoint. Now, I'm officially off the ban list, due to automated SI policy, but I'm sure I'd be right back on it if I posted so much as a "Hi" there. Anyway, I believe the faithful have a right to worship in peace. I do find it amusing, though that the obsessive W worship even now claims "
This is for people who read the MSM and shake their heads at the bias.", as if his "metablog" is a fairandbalanced alternative. If only the dreaded MSM worshipped W as LindyBill does, the world would be a Fox News kind of place. I guess the kind of worship that, say, MSMer Bob Woodward heaped on W just isn't sufficient for real true believers. That's life.
