Re: Intel's 1264 65nm process has been in HVM since last year. Yohan, CedarMill and Pentium D have been shipping in high volume for a long time now.

Yet the summed total of Conroe, Merom, and Woodcrest production is about 2% for the first quarter.

It just doesn't add up. Both Intel and AMD have done massive stepping changes that convert significant portions of their production (more than 25%) from one month to the next. A stepping change is basically a mask change and you post as though nothing else is different about fabbing CWM vs. Yonah or Pentium D.

Clearly, there is something else going on. We know Intel has substantial inventories and is still continuing to produce older parts.
