Instead, they hope GOP candidates can "localize" the elections. In Pennsylvania, Rendell Stays in Front Two new polls in the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race show Gov. Ed Rendell (D) keeping a healthy lead over challenger Lynn Swann (R) in his bid for re-election. An Issues PA survey shows Rendell ahead 35% to 27%. A Rasmussen Reports survey gives Rendell a 50% to 40% lead.
