If you are attacked and you let them get away with it that's the quickest way to raise the prestige and power of a group like Hezbollah. Hezbollah's prestige in the Muslim world is growing by leaps and bounds. We'll see. I'm not as sure as you are. They get praise at the moment because they are fighting Israel but that isn't the same as a huge increase in prestige, esp. a huge and durable one. They did get a major boost when Israel pulled out of Lebanon years ago. What will happen now in response to future events (or what those future events will be) isn't something that I think can really be known yet.
