I'm sorry, but I AM sceptical about Bush's motivations. I think the whole "good Christian" thing may have come not from any real spiritual conversion but from a calculated political strategy. Bush's "conversion" didn't seem to come about until AFTER he saw his Father get beat in 1988 by Pat Robertson and his well organized and highly motivated Christian supporters. Bush may be the first "war-time" president to leave the Whitehouse in BETTER shape than when he went in. He doesn't seem to ever let the death or maiming of an American in Iraq upset his exercise program.
