I assume that's a rhetorical question. Never the less, the assessed values used for tax purposes is probably the only place you're going to get apples for apples, year over year. And, since those assessed values may be challenged by the home owner if they're out of sync with fair market value, the Chicken Littles should be able to demonstrate declining home values from public databases. That's assuming the sky is falling of course.
