There is nothing else Hezbollah can achieve with further fighting. Therefore a cease-fire offer makes perfect sense.

Also, a cease-fire offer coming from Hezbollah is a signal to the "international community" to increase pressure on Israel to stop fighting. And if they don't, they'll look "bad".

Stratfor, imo, is generally a pretty thoughtful outfit. Sometimes they may get carried away, but they are still much better than most - who often chatter without even trying to gain real insight.
