Perhaps I did not make myself clear.

Poor GOP electoral prospects are undoubtedly bearish for stocks -- something that stupid bulls continue to ignore.

The impact on gold is more debatable.

But since gold has been tracking stocks pretty closely for some time now -- a sharp stock market selloff would probably drag down gold as well.
