Actually, Kerry beat Bush last year and won at least three states Gore didn't win, if you count Ohio. And you should because the evidence is now in Bushies outright stole the state, using the governor and secretary of state's office and powers, like Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris did in Florida 2000, but in even more outrageous ways. There is also evidence Bushies swung the vote in places like Iowa, Nevada, COlorado, Virginia and New Mexico, though I don't know all the details on those. So Kerry might have actually won the popular vote.
2004 election cheating aside for now (though it's a huge issue that needs thorough investigation and election reform laws) -
Unless Gore changes his mind and decides to run, Kerry and Mark Warner are the favorites for 2008 so far, though I admit Hillary is a big wheel as well. I don't think she'll make it.
Kerry has never stopped fighting, has the money and is now teamed with Feingold to end the war. He has also taken the lead on universal health care and ending our addiction to oil, and our government's addiction to oil lobbyist money.
Others who might have a chance are Bayh, Biden, Edwards and Richardson, and they'd all be head and shoulders above what we have now. Among those though, Kerry remains the best suited for the presidency. He is not a perfect candidate, but he would make an ideal president. I dare you to debate that last point with any factual points. |
