Do you think this is the first time people ever died in a war??
Are you overwhelmed by the experience of the brutality and bloodshed inherent in human conflict??
Do you think we're playing "Risk", or "Stratego" here??
Don't you recall the decades of fear that the world suffered as the USSR and the US stood ready to completely annihilate each other in the space of 30 minutes??
I mean geezus Katelew.. are you so isolated from reality that you can only respond with asking if I would recommend "going nuclear"?? Obviously such a response is not appropriate under the current circumstances. But the fact that you asked the question in the first place tells me that you have no understanding of human history.
I get the sense that you're just another one of those ignorant (not necessarily stupid or a moron, like Geode or Sly have shown themselves to be) individuals how haven't read much history, or can't accept the fact that people actually die when nations go to war.
Do you really think the despots/megalo-maniacs of the world are just going to roll over and let people have the right to live in peace?
The only real answer to this is to foster democratic systems of governments that are accountable to their own citizens (to include free opposition and press). The free flow of information and the concept of, and adherence to, inalienable rights bestowed by our creator (or as a birthright as a human being).
But you're going to need to stop being so naive as to believe that this world is naturally peaceful. Do you really think any democracy on this planet actually just came to exist without the bloodshed of a lot of very innocent people?
I sure wish it were true, but that's just not reality. Reality is what people envision, and find themselves willing to sacrifice their blood, sweat, and tears (and often their lives) to bring to fruition.
And the problem is that we're faced with a group of fanatical and especially brutal religious fanatics who are quite happy to play upon your humanitarian weakness in the hopes that you'll become a useful idiot in furthering their cause.
One final point.. Let me ask you what Israel should do if one of those Hizbullah missiles happens to contain biological, chemical, and although unlikely, a nuclear weapon?
Would Israel be justified to execute an act of massive retaliation upon Syria and Iran, who obviously would have provided the materials to Hizbullah?
