Roger McNamee is a solid investor who sometimes fought the old fogeys at mutual funds to help his investors. I remember one annual report where the T. Rowe Price Science and Technology Fund, under McNamee, reported that it's best performing investment was leap puts on the S&P 500. Other funds were afraid of puts because "they are risky." But investments in internet cos. were new paradigm. McNamee was ahead of the curve.
