I applaud your principled stand against ALL religious movements that seek to exert political power. The only problem with using "extreme" as a qualifier is that it is always the other guy who is extreme -- not me -- if you know what I mean. When religion keeps its nose out of politics the chances for peace and prosperity go way up. That is one of the key lessons of the success of America, despite some serious backsliding of late. Perhaps in view of your stand on the negative aspects of relgion meddling in politics, leading to violence and oppression in all parts of the world, I should read all of your posts twice before responding.
