I thought it was fairly well-established that these men are considered neoconservatives, whether it has become pejorative or not, so, no- that didn't leap out at me. But that kind of labeling is irrelevant to how I came to my "biased" opinion.
When the topic of the neocon agenda was first raised, I went to the source and read the statement of Principles, the letter to Clinton, and some of the writings emerging from the CLI and the AEI. And that is when I came to my personal conclusions about them. My initial reaction has only been validated by time.
Their statements speak of increased military strength, a willingness to challenge hostile regimes so I don't know why you find that first description-- outside of the use of the term "neocon"-- very inaccurate. ON the other hand, I have no doubt that google may let its personal opinions sneak in- which is why going to the source is vital.
