To PO Saddam more, they were selling cheap oil over their quota.

The OPEC agreements oil quotas are hardly the sort of thing reasonably enforced with massive invasions.

There were many things that triggered the war including a green light from the US.

Nonsense. Saying we won't settle the dispute or enforce the terms of the settlement, is not a green light for Iraq to take over Kuwait.
