I get a little frustrated with Canadians and Americans who are so insulated that they think the whole world thinks the way they do. We are soft, and forgiving, and kind, and a lot of people died so that we can be that way. Too many people view other cu.ltures as being the same. I know a lot of women who believe that Muslims support the same rights for women in Iran or Iraq or Palestine or Lebanon that we do here. They cannot believe that some countries don't think women need an education, or an opinion, or anything but a beating.
