"nobody is suggesting AMD has production problems?"

I think that there are many here who were disappointed that AMD did not start FAB 36 at 65nm...

I think the crossover to dual core has posed some interesting strategical headaches for AMD given the limited capacity that they have enjoyed in the past. ie, how to balance manufacturing with improved margins...

I also think to a certain degree that some of the discussion regarding Intel's NGA ramp is tantamount to secretly hoping your friend misses a putt on the 18th hole thus putting $20 in your pocket. It's always more fun to believe that the supposed "leader" in FAB manufacturing is stumbling thus allowing AMD an opportunity.

Please don't think that your points have not already been noted.

To me, it will be interesting to see if 65nm does in fact start at mature yields... I'm hoping so...
