Off topic, Informix IFMX now IFMXE is in deep financial trouble. They have been cooking the books and face numerous lawsuits. Once one of Wall Street's darlings, the NASDAQ has now begun delisting procedures because of Informix delays in filing SEC reports. They need to restate income for the past two years. I have not seen the answer to this in the IFMX thread, so I figured some of the Wall Street types here may be able to answer.

I understand that they have good technology and the product should be able to survive.

My questions?

What happens when a stock is delisted? Can it still be traded anywhere or is the investment worthless? How long to get listed again.

Can mutual funds own delisted stocks? Or are they dumping their shares now?

Besides bankrupty, what other risks involved in purchasing this stock?
