PJ at minute 49:19 through 54:16 on PacifCrest call claimed that any choice by Sprint would require IP from Qualcomm. Commented on how "vendors were throwing a lot of money at various solutions" but that CDMA with enhancements are such that there will be a lot of CDMA and "enhancements" (speech coders, antenna arrays etc) in the new spectrum and that 4G will not just be a pure OFDMA technology. Relative to Wi-Max Q will be demonstrating a new OFDMA TDD technology next year that will be 3 to 4 times Wimax next year. Also, "More radios are actually better for us - we integrate more capabilities and have some of the best engineers for taking advantage of this."
