That's the snap shot but the trend is for even more inventory build. I don't think we are close to the end of the slow down.


Yes, but builders are scaling back dramatically. The houses being built right now were permitted last fall and winter. I bet you permits have dropped significantly since last winter and that next year there will be much less construction. It takes 6-12 mos for a slowdown to take effect because of the permitting process. Once it does, you can start to whittle down the overhang. Of course there are always the mavericks who think they can beat the system and will continue building......usually they go belly up.

No guarantees......I don't know all the nuances of the Tampa market but I do know how a recession in the housing market usually plays out.
