Infoseek's Position as Internet Leader Confirmed by New Research

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Infoseek is one of the top
five most widely used Internet sites, and ranked second in audience
reach among the major search and navigation brands, according to a
recently released RelevantKnowledge study.

The study showed Infoseek as serving 7.9 million unique users during the
month of August, placing the service just behind America Online and
ahead of both Excite and Lycos during the same period.

Atlanta-based RelevantKnowledge conducted the research with a Java meter
that records usage patterns of panel members at home, at work and at
college. By measuring these three primary access points and expanding
beyond Internet usage in the home, RelevantKnowledge has completed one
of the most accurate assessments of Web traffic today.

Relevant Knowledge released the following list of rankings using
panel-based national audience projections from the month of August.
