Those are the use of an adjective to express one's opinion about a person as opposed to the use of an offensive nickname as a noun.

I and most people would rather be impugned by opinion than nickname.

As far as DeLay, I could not determine who you were referring to. Even if he were convicted of whatever the partisan Ronnie Earl dreamt he did wrong, he was still an honored person. You do not see me calling Clinton by offensive nicknames even though his is a disgrace to the United States. As far as Kerry being a traitor, it appears to be an established fact that the Senate chooses not to deal with.

Thanks for pointing out some other items. By cooperating, we all get a little better.
