I don't think Saddam was killing even 10% of what are being killed monthly now.


At many times, Saddam's kill rate ran even higher. There are something like 300,000 + dead in mass graves; those don't even count those executed "legally" or the million dead in Saddam's wars.

Numbers never get counted the same when Americans or Israelis aren't involved. When Arabs kill each other, there's no story.

25 times as many people died in Algeria during the 1990s as were killed in both the Israeli/Pal intifadas, but how much did you read about it?
