Maybe there are some like that. My R3000z runs right at 4 hours on battery and it isn't even one of the lowest power ones. The power consumption of the Turions is just a few watts higher than a PentiumM. Averatec makes a very nice little thin and light, a little over 4 pounds, with a Turion and it gets great battery life. So I don't know where you get your figures from.
