No, they just have just prepared more ground troops to go in faster - after targeting Hizb. HQ in Beirut every bit as much. They would have been derelict not to target Hizb. command and control as much as possible.

Don't get the impression that Beirut has been leveled. Everytime Israel bombs something, the photographers zoom in on the damage and give the impression that the whole city is gone. It was like that in Jenin, whereas a very small percentage was really destroyed.
