'When housing bubbles burst, they have a bigger impact on the greater economy and a slowing economy further suppresses housing prices.' How many housing bubbles have we ever really had besides this one where values rose much faster than incomes or rents? I think only late 80's in a few coastal markets in the NE and CA and the 1920's Florida land boom along with metro NY area..
