SumTotal and Adobe Provide New Integrated Learning Solution

 MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 2006--

SumTotal(R) Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SUMT), the largest
provider of talent, learning and business performance technologies and
services, and Adobe Systems Incorporated have integrated Adobe's
 Macromedia(R) Breeze(R) Meeting software with SumTotal's Enterprise
Suite. Adobe also signed an agreement with SumTotal to make the
Mountain View, Calif.-based firm an official reseller of Breeze, a
 collaborative web communication system.

With Breeze, employees can deliver multimedia content via virtual
classrooms, training courses and online presentations. Companies can
deploy Breeze using the ubiquitous Macromedia Flash(R) Player, which
is already installed on more than 98 percent of browsers worldwide.
Because users do not have to download software to launch Breeze, they
can engage instantly with rich multimedia content. The SumTotal
Enterprise Suite -- an award-winning software platform -- is a fulcrum
for launching and managing online learning that aligns employees'
goals with an employer's business aims. Together, the solutions should
give employers large and small a hub for enabling online learning as
 well as capturing mission-critical knowledge.

 "Adobe(R) Acrobat(R), Flash, Dreamweaver(R) and Captivate(TM) are
integral to the work our global network of clients does each day,"
said Jon Ciampi, vice president of marketing for SumTotal. "With the
addition of Breeze Meeting to our software suite, we can offer our
clients unrivaled support for rich media through virtual classrooms
 and on-demand presentations."

SumTotal's suite is among a select few learning management
platforms that can simultaneously manage virtual classroom sessions
from different vendors; this gives SumTotal's clients even greater
choice, flexibility and freedom in picking a solution for online
 collaboration.

"The combination of SumTotal's industry-leading technology and
Adobe Macromedia Breeze Meeting will give our customers a powerful new
option for end-to-end learning solutions," said Kevin M. Lynch, vice
president of product marketing, Knowledge Worker Business Unit, Adobe.
"Our partnership with SumTotal will give learning and development
professionals a single, integrated learning-management and virtual
classroom solution that is comprehensive and easy to use, at a low
 cost of ownership."
