Despite native claims of all sorts of groups supporting them, including supposed Palestinian groups, I am somewhat unconvinced. There may be low-level connections with organized crime membership in some circumstances, as is pointed out. But remember that even the US supports a two-state solution in the Middle East, and that means that the Palestinian flag is far from synonymous with terrorism -- it represents millions of people of many ideas and persuasions who unlike Jewish people do not have a state representing their rights or interests. Somehow I suspect that the natives in Caledonia do not have a clue about Palestinians, nor do Palestinians have a clue about natives in Caledonia
Well in the US they can link Hizbollah and the US native reserves with the contraband cigarette trade. Hizbollah buys the cigarettes in bulk and sells them in cities for a $1,50 profit, the money going to buy whatever is in the Hizbollah shopping list. Since i know a number of people who smoke native brands in Canada, and wouldn't know where to find a reserve to save their lives, I can only assume that one of the connections may be the Cigarette trade. Also one of the last big gun round ups led to an arrest on the Brantford reserve and one in Texas because the guns were being brought into Canada by people living on the reserve. So if there are semi legal ways to make a few bucks to send home to Palestine, you can bet that those methods are shared, and well known within the communities, and as I recall, many Arabs smoke..... And we are talking about two different groups both of whom feel oppressed, surely a good place to start cooperation. As for the problems facing the Palestinians, Canada has often been condemned by the UN for the conditions on Reserves, but the Liberal Controlled media seldom mentions it. Just like no one is asking what was in paul martins head when he volunteered canada to lead the mission in Afghanistan..... The Liberals put our soldiers in harms way, and will gain politically from doing it. |
