Well, anyone smuggling or committing terrorist acts should be found and punished within whatever reasonable limits there are of doing so. The problem begins when we start to punish all aboriginals or all Arabs for what a minority of them are doing. We may have 100 Caledons in Canada if the government takes a heavy-handed, racist approach to punishing the natives there. Such a response would be wrong, and stupid. That is why I think severely punishing the people of Lebanon is wrong when Israel goes after Hezbollah. It is morally wrong, and also stupid because before maybe 30% of the people supported Hezbollah as a political group, maybe 10% strongly enough to help them, and a tiny percentage were the actual militants, but now 90% support them. We could have that situation with natives in Canada depending on what happens in Caledon.
