No, Iran reached out to us after 9-11 in support. So did Arafat. Sure there were some idiots dancing in the streets, but the governments were ready to cooperate with us and help us, to a degree anyway. Then Bush turned his gaze to Saddam and started the greatest American misadventure since Vietnam. That changed everything,. Bush has clearly created many more new enemies than a trillion dollars and 150,000+ American troops have crushed, and it's a huge huge tragedy, waste and scandal. We are much worse off now than we were after 9-11, even if Bush had done absolutely nothing.
