If you think Bush's past party days are just gossip just wait. If the campiagn gets nasty and epseically is Bush is ahead the Dems will have to use that ammunition. Just as the anti-Clinton forces have been trying to use the smoking bimbos for decades. The truth finally caught up to Clinton. Lucky for him he was such an excellent and popular president. Otherwise he might have been history. Clinton at last polling had a 65% approval rating, one of the highest in history. Anyway, Bush did indeed do a lot of coke, was a heavy drinker who became nasty when drunk (we have all seen those types) and nearly ruined his political future.
There were eye-witnesses and some of them have stories to tell. Bush reformed just in time to save his marriage and career.

GW also did indeed avoid military duty in Alabama. He simply never showed up at all. That evidence is there. Bush refuses to talk about it. His answer is "I must have showed up but I don't remember".

All this is very similar to Dan Quayle's record but a little nastier and with an even greater dependence on nepotism.

The insider trading charge is real too. GW got away with it scott free because his daddy was in power. The feds never went after him. They also let Silverado Bank rip off a few additional billions because Neil was on the board.

Cheney also avoided Vietnam with deferments. Gore volunteered for the army and went to Nam. And LIEBERMAN is a bigger military hawk than Cheney. He urged Bush to take out Saddam at the end of the Gulf War. Bush didn't though he could have. Nobody knows why though I know I personally was very disappointed. And now we pay the price again. You can't box him in forever. Don't be surprised if Saddam was the one who had terrorists blowing up our vessel the other day. He could be the one and now we may need to go back in again, this time without the allies and the moderate Arabs behind us.

Got to go. Enjoying the thread.
