If you want to add spaces in an Excel cell that you've typed information into, just navigate to that cell and edit in the window at the top. If you want to insert a new row, column or cell, you navigate to the place where you want the insertion, then click on INSERT on the toolbar. You'll be given the option of inserting a Row, Column, Cell, an entire worksheet, or any number of items such as a photo or hyperlink. Be careful, because inserting can mess up the alignment of rows and columns that you have already completed.
