Yes unfortunately children do become collateral damage in almost every war. I suppose if Israel and Hezbollah fought with swords and spears, and selected a barren unpopulated area to fight in, that you could have no children killed as collateral damage, but that's ideas is pure fantasy, Israel wouldn't give up their technology and resource advantage, and Hezbollah wouldn't give up their human shields. Also if they had enough trust and good will to come to, and follow through on, such an agreement then they would have enough trust and good will to actually have peace.

Absent such silly fantasy ideas collateral damage will happen.
