Have you already bought that condo in Beijing? I read that the new rule for foreigners to buy housing in China is that one person can only buy one set for his/her own use. And there is a time limit, only ones who work or study in China for one year or longer can buy. If <1 year, they can only rent, not buy to own. so if neither work nor study in China, cannot buy either.

I am not sure when this new regulation will be effective, perhaps already effective.
