I am tempted to make backing up one's opinions (or at least making a logical attempt) a requirement of posting here.

OK...I know you are wanting to ban me, because I can't satisfy you as to any back up for MY opinion. SO, if you don't ban me, perhaps you should have EVERYONE including yourself, back up EVERY opinion they have the temerity to put forward.

It might get lonesome here though for you.

The NYT folks don't back up their opinions very often. After all, opinions are just that ....opinions. The problem for the NYT and other such papers, opinions are to be on the Op-Ed pages, NOT in the front page or front sections of the paper. That's because their name is on the piece, and pieces with names attached, are OPINIONS.

Your post suggests that none of the topics I brought up are valid topics to discuss politely. Is that correct?
