IMO, the BDS is really a statement on the folks who are so deranged. It is something most of us don't understand...almost like some sort of mental illness. Trying to even engage any of these people is really just an exercise in futility. If we look at the boards here on SI in 1999 forward, we can see it started then. No reason, no intellect, just anger, seething anger. It's almost as if these people are in a jihad against their fellow Americans. Try to engage any of them, on any substantial topic. No response, other than to change the subject, or just go off on Bush again. No ideas to help solve a problem. Only anger. And you are right quehubo....my bet is that none of this crowd has given two milliseconds as to what happens if we leave Iraq and it falls into the hands of Syria or Iran....what would happen to oil exports then? If the BDS group thinks there aren't enough jobs now....just wait till there are none. High gas prices won't be a huge issue. There will be no food that gets to the shelves, at any type of reasonable cost, no goods nor services on any big volume in the market place ....at least for some time in the future.
