Gold makes corrupt politico bend to your will? How silly a meme you possess.

... in USA Today, read ''The Bush administration opposes including Social Security and Medicare in the audited deficit. Its reason: Congress can cancel or cut the retirement programs at any time, so they should not be considered a government liability for accounting purposes''.

Dear General - everyone I know - all my family and friends and ex coworkers and peers have all accepted years ago there is not going to be social security and medicare for us - that anticipation has long been squashed. Do you think most americans are still expecting SS and medicare to be there for them - most I talk too don't believe that.

love those mogambo thoughts ... keeping things so simple and straightforward

I like him as well - he has guns to protect his resources when the better armed thugs come for him - I just dont think he has a chance against 20 gubbment trained snipers.

They just tried a variant of this trick in Zimbabwe, where they lopped three zeroes off the currency, and gave everybody a tight deadline to exchange old money for new (after which the old money would not be exchanged!) and, even so, subject to low limits on how much you could exchange at one time, which effectively confiscates all your money above the level of your similarly bankrupted peers. Welcome to fiat currency hell.

What you fail to always address over 2 years of me asking you is what is to prevent your politico boys in HK or here or anywhere in the world to stop you from changing out shiny metal for a cow from mcdonalds? They can stop the exchange - they have done it in the past here - doing it in zibabwe now and there are laws on the books giving them the authority - if they didn't have the laws they would do it anyways. You think because you have a lump of shiny metal in your hand you will be able to exchange that for something you really do NEED - maybe some water from the local city utility or some food from the local grocery store - governments make laws - citizens follow them because if they don't thugs with guns shoot them or throw them in jail - the gold never mattered - never will - its all about people willing to pick up a gun and shoot the gubbment sniper before he shoots them for breaking the law. I don't see you picking up a gun to shoot gubbment types in HK for raising sales taxes - why are you letting them rob you citizen? Protest - tell them NO TAXES at all - if they raise taxes you will shoot them or lock them up - lets see if you are a man of your convictions - gold or paper or seashells - same difference. Zimbabwe will stop being able to fugg its citizens when they all rise up and boot the current politicos - when are you expecting that Dear General? Or like good little sheeple will they take whatever the gubbment doles out to them - mugabenomics - HAHA!
