All, I was reviewing my info re: v the other day. It is amazing how long it takes to develop medical therapies. They started the Co. 10 years ago; discovered that Naked Dna worked 8/9 years ago; licensed it to Merck 7 years ago; Merck has been testing & incorporating it into their infrastructure for years; Merck started human trials 16 months ago; the trial is complete; Merck will not announce outcome (especially if good) so competitors stay way behind (Merck has a seven year lead now if the stuff works). This tells me to be patient & that new discoveries by Vical competitors will go through a similar time frame (10 years) of development until any commercial product is possible.. I'm no expert in the field, but imo, this is reason to continue being long Vical shares. Bill
