The plotting continues and has expanded- several countries have been hit since 9-11. Homegrown cells are cropping up a lot. This plot has been in the making for quite some time. Preventing these incidents comes down to good police and undercover work. I don't believe the war is much of a factor in prevention, if any; I would credit the increase in security and surveillance for foiled plots. Before 9-11, excluding Oklahoma, the last attack was what? '93 at the WTC? So I don't see the claim that we haven't been hit as indicating much of a change from pre-9-11. Suggestions... You beat me to it. Control the borders. Cargo, ports, visas. Stop worrying about PC. I am not a very PC type. If it makes sense that a particular nationality is responsible for these attacks, I have no problem at all looking at them before the 80 year old grandmother from Ohio. I think we have confused profiling with common sense.
