One lawyer with an LL.M. from the University of Helsinki, who joined Nokia as Corporate Counsel in 1980 and became Vice President of their legal department in 1987, living with another lawyer the same age who joined the Nokia legal department in 1984 and held the position of Vice President and General Counsel from 1994 to 2005 acting as the secretary of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2005. Nokia's current IPR strategy and licensing strategy which is decidedly more offensive and less defensive than it formerly was, dates back to 2002 according to OPK who at that time was on his 2nd tour as Nokia CFO.

Some insight into Nokia's current IPR strategy can be gleaned from this book by Ilkka Rahnasto published in 2003 ...
