This seems to be a form of the logical fallacy known as Special Pleading. You seem to have insulated yourself from any possibility of being persuaded because that would mean that either your stupidity went off chart, or Karl Rove slipped you a mickey. It is not a way to actually learn something.

This is a serious investigation ...
No it's not!, or you would not be cutting yourself off from any but the afore mentioned conclusions before embarking on the investigation.
