You do believe Israel is attacking Hezbollah right? I mean even if you think they are making separate attacks just to kill extra civilians, they are actually at war against Hezbollah. Do you think these attacks against Hezbollah are so perfect, or can be so perfect that civilians don't die? If you bomb an enemy force, and the force is fighting from among civilians than civilians are going to die. For an intensive bombing campaign against a force which uses civilians as human shields 1000 dead civilians is a fairly low number. I suppose in theory its possible that really only say 800 of them where collateral damage and 200 where deliberately murdered, but I don't see any point in Israel acting that way. They don't get anything out of it. Even if their intent is to punish Lebanese civilians the 800 would be pretty severe punishment, and if it isn't enough you just keep up the attacks. What would be the point of deliberately attacking civilians on top of that, esp. when you know it will hurt world and Lebanese opinion of Israel. It seems you are asserting not just that Israel (or its current government, or the IDF) is evil, but that it is insane. Sorry I can't agree with any part of that assessment.
