Collective punishment is part of the Israel mindset -- dead Lebanese civilians are payback. It is murder. Israelis are murdering Lebanese. They also murdered the UN observers. Israel is not alone in this -- Hizbollah is murdering Israelis. Israelis are sadly mistaken if they thinking their use of ten times the force of Hizbollah and the murder of Lebanese citizens is somehow "justified". They are cold blooded murderers and they do not deserve US support of any kind given their war crimes are embedded in their military policies and not a matter of "collateral damage". Israel be damned, they are pursuing policies that will destroy them and committing crimes along the way. We can make up excuses for them -- your approach -- or we can confront them and their US sponsors with reality and try to do something to stop the ongoing program of mass murder -- my approach.
