I'm surprised anyone would be critical of Lieberman running as an independent, though. The voters will be as free to vote for or against him as they were in the primary.

I'm surprised and disappointed by his choice. I don't see his opinions as being independent. His political views strike me as conformist. He should be running as a Republican, or perhaps Likud.
