.....Laurie Bartlett Keating, Millennium's general counsel, said the cancer drug maker received a phone call from the SEC's Boston office after being named in the Maryland group's report, and began its own investigation.

It found the company's compensation committee actually met on the date of the trading in question, Sept. 26, 2001, which would indicate the date wasn't picked retroactively to someone's benefit. ``This isn't a situation where management or a board committee selected a historical date that looked attractive," she said....
