Pure unadulterated bigotry.

In Connecticut, 44% of registered voters are independent, about 30% are demolib and the rest are Republicans.

Lieberman wll garner a large measure of support among Dems and Independents and even more "moderate" Repubs.

He's got a good shot to win in the general election...
